Yo peoples! It's Friday and it's a bank holiday weekend! I totes forgot about that extra day off! Not that I'll have it off though; work is THAT busy I'm taking work home to do and I'll probs have to pop into the office or orifice as I call it... cos I'm childish like that!
I had a moment of weakness whilst watching QVC... I know I HAVE to have a polish sort out cos recently I've came across a couple of 'gloopy' bottles but the thought of throwing any away prior to replenishing my lil stock first gave me anxiety... plus with a tan (which I'll have shortly) that foil will be AMAZE...
So let us say a big WEL-CA-ROO to this latest 'Birthday Bonanza Collection'!
South Kensington - It's thinner in formulation to Essie's No Place Like Chrome so it's a tadge easier to paint. Heather, the Nails Inc rep said not to use a base coat but I couldn't do that being a creature of habit and all. I think I will try it though because on the second coat it went a lil funny; as if I had over applied but I hadn't. Odd. So yeah... watch this space with that one.
Hyde Park Crescent - This is a bit more purple in real life but it was tossing it down outside and was very grey when I took this pic so it's not coming across correctly. For those of you familiar with Leighton Denny's The Heiress, this is similar; just a little more deeper and a tadge more blue. It's a good classic Nails Inc kinda shade actually. That opaque creme that they do so well.
Leonard Street - I acknowledge this may not be up everyone's street and yes it is a lil 'I theme my wedding on highlighter pink' but whatevs. I f-ing LOVE it! It reminds me of my fav pink 'Hollywood' which I've no doubt mentioned before. It's soooo tacky it's actually to die!
Marylebone Passage - Okay so I've made a typo on the pic. SOZZLES. I was distracted by the word passage. I don't like it. It's a rude word. Anyway this is an iridescent top coat to jazz up polish. It's fairly blueish in tone so it's works over cooler toned colours the best. I'm not really a fan. Electric Lane is still better. Just sayin'.
Bankside - THIS is the surprise one for me. I actually REALLY like it. I wasn't expecting to but as a ring finger with my griege tone polishes it is divine! I often wear neutrals when I'm not being trashy and tacky more confident with colour so this jazzes my mani up no end! BUT it is solid glitter so you need the foil trick to deal.
St Martin's Lane - Lush colour for winter. Typical Nails Inc formulation... as already mentioned (glossy opaque creme) can't say much more though cos I've not adorned it yet.
Hyde Park Corner - NEW fav! It's beaut. Even have it on ma tootsies right now and usually I'm a brights girl for toes so that's testament RIGHT there. I love this colour. It's like the wild sister of Porchester Square as it's got that neutral tone to it but obvs it's more lavender. LOVE. I actually posted this on Instagram a couple of weeks ago so if you wanna see you can click ma link... http://instagram.com/p/cn8bQyhLLO/ (cos I'm not brainy enough to know how to insert the pic! Ha!)
Well I do hope you all enjoy the bank holiday; I shall try to enjoy mine once I've got to grips with work. Oh for the love of God; being conscientious sucks!
