Hey hey hey peoples! OMG... August BH has been and gone... !! Cray cray or what?! We'll be wearing heavy coats, applying shed loads of hand cream and embracing those dark berry lips all too soon... (but secretly I'm all yay to the Ugg boot return... I LURVE my ickle fluffy bits of heaven..)
If you haven't heard of Laura Geller... you NEED to. I've been a fan of hers for some years now; the most comparable brand I liken her products to are probably MAC's baked products... think along the lines of their MSF's and the likes and that's where LG is at too.
Recently she adorned QVC with her grace and brought us a special priced collection which I managed to nab two of. Cos I'm an addict like that...
So what did we get this in lil box of goodies? We got her foundation, Balance N Brighten which I've mentioned before. I love it. I regularly use it and dip in between Porcelain in Winter and Fair probably the larger portion of the year. If I go on holibobs to somewhere tropical I can wear up to a tan but if I'm honest when I'm tanned, I skip foundation. I only really wear foundation, not to cover my skin but to cover the attractive grey, corpse thang I have going on!
We then got a blush and highlight duo which is TO DIE.
The swatches don't do this justice at all! The highlight is MAC soft and gentle-esque but even finer and more just expensive looking... it's like a champagne with a slightly warm pink tone. DIVINE. I now need it in supersize. There I go being a size queen again... :P
The blush is also really pretty. I've went to town on the swatch below but trust me; it's got that glowy sheen to it that makes your cheeks look all fresh and radiant. Even if you're not!
Next up there is an eyeshadow which doesn't crease nor go oily nor have that drying, pulling feeling. It's a no fuss eye shadow which can be built up pretty dark if you want or keep it soft for day time... also pink on the lids... try it... I was worried that I'd look like some kind of rabbit that had been tested on illegally by a back street lab but no... the overall look was really fresh! (Sozzles about my imagination running wild there...)
Then there is the full coverage lip gloss. It's AMAZE. Deffo packing this in my suitcase (I go on holiday in three weeks... not that I'm getting overly excited or nowt... !) It's long lasting too as well as being opaque; it's not like a lipstick/gloss (think YSL stains or Rimmel Apocolips) it's defintely a gloss but a good one at that! It also smells of sweets. Lush!
Totes patting myself on the back for the nail and lip coordination btw...
Then, last but not least we have the 'eye spackle'. Spackle is Laura's word for a primer basically and this is a good one. If you're familiar of the texture of any Smashbox primers or even Benefit's Poreless Professional; this is a very similar texture. However it's peach to counteract any discolouration around the eye area.
