New In: Lip Dual - Lipstick and Stain

Hey there girls!  How is your week going?  It's almost the weekend so yay yay double yay!  Just today and tomorrow and then freedom!!!  Have you got anything interesting planned for this weekend?  I haven't... this weekend is a chilled one for me as I'm away for the next two.  I'm super excited for all my shenanigans; I've even bought new pretty dresses, I have gorgeous shoes to wear and I've got an array of lipsticks and nail colours already in my head as possible options!  So sad I know but I don't get out much these days!

Right, before I babble on further I best get back to the topic in hand; Lip Duals* from Leighton Denny.

A few of you guys may have seen my post on my Valentine's Nails, well I had tweeted a pic of them to LD himself (he's my BFF after all) and to my surprise he retweeted them on Valentine's Day and wished me Happy Valentine's which was amazing in itself but THEN... he totes surprised with a lovely gift and card!  (Told you we are BFFs).  In the gift bag was some essential nail care items along with ALL of these:

I was SO unbelievably overwhelmed when I received these.  I was in actual shock.  I even immediately rang my Mam to tell her and she was all 'awww I'm so chuffed for you flower'.  Bless.

Since receiving the Lip Duals I've not worn anything else on my lips.  They are really versatile, long wearing, none drying and just generally a really high quality product which are a pleasure to use.

The lipstick I like because it's in the classic bullet shape which makes application as easy as anything; the formulation of the lipstick is fairly firm too, it's not hard so it doesn't drag the lip but it's not too soft either.  Personally I'm not a massive fan of softer lipsticks because I find they melt onto the lip and it's easy to over apply them which then means you have to blot and faff and to be honest that's too much hard work for me.  These glide across the lip and stay put.

The hidden gem which makes these lipsticks that lil something more are the lip stains which are hidden away in the bottom!

The stains are just genius and they really do stay put...

After leaving the stain for just a few seconds after applying, I placed a tissue over it; mainly for my own intrigue to see how it would hold out to transference and I am very impressed... no residue was found on the tissue at all.

Considering in one just lipstick you have the option of using the stain, the lipstick or both together it really makes the product versatile AND you can even use the stain on your cheeks to add a bit of colour :))

I can't wait to use the shades I've not tried out yet.  I've even bought a cream dress for an upcoming girls weekend I have JUST so I'm not limited on which one I can wear!  Choosing outfits to match make-up... I'm sure I do things a bit backward sometimes hehe!
