I thought I'd share with you a product that I repurchase over and over again from a brand that I trust and thoroughly enjoy using. I've actually posted on this product before but a)my blogging has improved since then (I hope!) and b)I just love it!
It's the L'Occitane Ultra Rich Body Lotion with 15% Shea Butter:
I've just emptied a bottle and am about to open a new one from my stash and it occurred to me that I've been using this for YEARS. I can be obsessive at times about body moisturiser because I used to suffer from eczema as a child and I'll be honest, true to the drama queen I am, I get paranoid of it coming back so I try to do look after my skin the best I can.
This body lotion is the one I come back to time and time again. I've never came across a cream that beats it at all, this is my after sun lotion on holidays as well as my winter survival body cream. I absolutely adore it!
The results I get from using this are second to none, I repurchase it because it works. It keeps my skin baby soft, it prevents drying and on holiday it's also soothing after being in the hot sun. The smell of this is also very reassuring... the only thing I can liken it to is baby powder talc... you know when you smell that and it's comforting and gives you that reassurance? This has the same quality and all in all is a pleasure to use.
I have however got a negative point with this product... you can't get these 500ml bottles any more!! *sob sob sob* and this is the last bottle of this size in my stash. The 500ml bottle lasts me a long time, because it has a pump it's uber convenient. I have a thing for pump delivery systems. They're my favourite! I know it sounds silly but it is actually an important factor for me, I mean I have products in my drawers which hardly get used because they have these fancy (fiddly), ornate (too small) caps and lids that are just a pain to remove when you're just out of the bath or even putting them back on once you're fully moisturised. They're a faff!!! Plus the pump system helps me not to over use the product and/or be wasteful... one pump does both arms, one pump for each leg and then another pump for chest and torso. Job done in 4 pumps. Quick, Easy. Fab.
If you're in search of a really good body lotion I'd recommend this one above all others, you can buy it from the L'Occitane website and they also include it in some collections they do so it's a good way of trying the range. (The shea butter hand cream is also another must have for me!)
Have you got a holy grail body moisturiser? I think this is mine, after the number I've got through over the years and how much I love it, I can't deny it's place as number 1 no longer!
