This is a favourite post minus lipsticks and nail polish. I had to do separate posts for those two categories as there was NO CHANCE of narrowing it down to one! Hehe!
Let's jump right in...
On the grounds I have litre sized bottles of these, they have all been repurchased before and will continue to be, I had to include them in my favourites post.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - This I've used now for... it must be about five years or so. It has SAVED my hair. Without this I swear I would be bald. I'll have to review this soon so I won't babble on too much here. I'll just say it's a bit of a win!
Philosophy, Purity Cleanser - this size lasts me roughly nine months. It's my favourite cleanser of all time. It's a versatile product too... you can even use it as a detox shampoo... just shampoo your hair with this before your normal shampoo et voila. Uber clean hair.
ABC Tea Tree Skin Wash - a somewhat boring product really, it's not luxurious or indulgent to use but it's effective, efficient, does what it says on the tin and I use it in every shower. I use it before my scented shower things... this leaves me feeling clean and fresh and I don't feel clean without it now so I have to use it!
Origins Modern Friction - I wanted to include a face exfoliator in this post and at first I struggled to pick one as I'm currently using Elemis' Gentle Rose Exfoliator but I'm also a big fan of Emma Hardie's Rose Hip seeds so I was left in a dilemma. However, I realised that sometimes this HAS to be used. Some days Elemis and Emma Hardie's offerings just aren't sufficient enough and this bad boy comes out as the big guns. I've also realised that this is one exfoliator which when I run out, I have to repurchase it. Immediately. So yeah, this is the big daddy of exfoliators fo sho!
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream - My favourite face moisturiser of all time. Have 3 in my stockpile as I can never be without it! Enough said.
The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner - these two are a recent find for me but after my initial purchase I had to stock up and buy a further four bottles each so I knew I wouldn't run out. (My stockpile is getting out of hand. I have issues. It's a problem. But I guess I could have worse addictions...) I'm gauging fav products on my absolute need to have them in the house and the thought of not having them breaks me out in a sweat! I blame Emily over by Emily has Dimples for this latest obsession... she mentioned it and I tried it and I just really get along with them! They clean my hair, leave it clean and manageable and soft. Plus they're fairly cheap! My shampoo prior to these were treble the price!
Elemis Frangipani Monoi Oil - I've used this for YEARS. It's another item I frequently repurchase. Some weeks I may not touch it, then I may use it daily for months. It is very mood dependant for me and sometimes I don't like it because of it's faffy nature (you've got to melt the oil prior to using it and also the top is uber fiddly) but when I do use it my skin thanks me for it and it will be a product in my bathroom for more years to come I'm sure.
Liz Earle Signature Foundation - This is my foundation of choice without question. All my other foundations have fallen off my radar since I came across this gem. I can wear both Porcelain and Ivory however if I wear the latter more blending down my neck is required. It gives me just the right amount of coverage. It's not uber matte but it's far from shiny either. I don't suffer from breakouts with it and it's just everything I need from a foundation.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Light Plus - I use this over my foundation to set it and it makes it last as well as keeping my oil at bay. I only really use it through my T zone and it's my fav ever powder to use.
Urban Decay Naked2 Palette - If I could have only one palette of eye shadows this would be it. I love the colours, the tin is much more robust than the original velvet packaging and it's just like the holy grail of palettes. I wish it contained Virgin from the Naked palette but apart from that I love it.
New CID i-Flutter Mascara - I've reached for this mascara time and time again, in fact I think since about August it's the only one I've used. I just really like it. I think many mascaras are massively over priced for what you get; but this isn't all that pricey, it works wonders for my lashes and it doesn't sting when I remove it.
Revitalash - I need to repurchase this PRONTO. I was trying to hold off as I'm half expecting a TSV to appear on QVC but I don't think I can wait any longer. I haven't been using this since having my op and boy do I know it. My lashes have halved in size. Gutted. Need to get another one ASAP. This is a miracle worker. You can read my review on it and see my before and after pics here.
So there we have it. I had to cut the post there because otherwise it would have listed dozens of products. I've went with these picks on the basis that these are items I have or will repurchase. These items I love and don't feel right when they're not present in my routine.
What are your must have items from 2012? If you've posted your favs, leave the link so I can have a read... I love favourites posts!!
