A January Beauty Haul...

It's been a lil while since I posted a beauty haul so I thought I'd share with you some items I've purchased in January. Personally, I love to see these kinds of posts so I hope you do too!  I've bought a few other bits and pieces but these are the things I've been most excited about:

These are quite boring but I absolutely love using them at the end of  cleanse to make sure everything is rinsed off properly.  I don't particularly like the feeling of the fancy schmancy cleansing cloths or flannels and what not plus these don't get grubby like other cloths I've tried.

This HAD to be done.  They're the latest beauty blogger must have and I can see why... I love them!  Expect a review soon and also more colours added to this collection!  I chose Celestial and Apocaliptic but I have my eye on Big Bang, Nova and Nude Eclipse thanks to swatches I've seen on Katie's Beauty Blog!

I bought this Nails Inc Collection from QVC and my findings on it have been mixed unfortunately!  I fell in love with the Leather Effect polish and have reviewed that already but I've had a bit of a fail with the Express Polish Remover :(

I decided that this year I want to start branching out from my comfort zone a little when it comes to brands.  I will admit I am a brand whore.  I know the brands I like and I stick to them, I used to be of the opinion 'you get what you pay for' but I know that this isn't always the case so instead of going to usual 'higher' end brands I've decided to invest in some basic essentials from Rimmel and Collection 2000.  Plus these products seem to be pretty raved about in the beauty blogging world so my intrigue has got the better of me!

I also seen two really good reviews on both the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on Kayleigh's blog, Couture Girl; she seems to like the same things I look for in face base products so I hope to like them as much as she does as they are a fraction of the price of MAC alternatives.

These two lipsticks are from the MAC Apres-Chic collection where I also purchased Stereo Rose from.  It was the cremesheen formulation that sucked me in... I'm loving cremesheen and lustre at the moment plus the bullets of colour are just soooo pretty!  The red colour is Apres-Chic and the pink is Haute Altitude, both are very wearable and I'm so glad I bought them when I did.  I have got this lil instagrammed up pic of me wearing Apres-Chic (I know it's not a proper pic but you get the jist...)

So this sneaky purchase was for my stockpile drawer!  The price was too good to ignore, I got a full size (100ml) jar of Emma Hardie Moringa Balm and a half size (50ml) for £23!  Totes bargain! Couldn't refuse the offer.

Nails Inc Kensington Caviar topcoat is my favourite topcoat of all time.  I get along with this topcoat better than any other so I decided to take the opportunity to stock up on it... you see I had a credit on my QVC account so ended up spending like £4 for both.  Another bargain!  I then used a voucher I had to buy this No7 nail polish as I've been after a denim blue AND it's my attempt of branching out from my usual Nails Inc/OPI/Leighton Denny.

These Estee Lauder polishes were a bit of a treat; I'll probably do a post on them soon so I'll just let you know for now that they are called 'Blue Blood' and 'Purple Velvet'.  They're stunning polishes.

Last but not least I bought this collection of Fran Wilson lipsticks/lip stains which I reviewed here.

ANNNNND that's my haul over.  As I'm really trying to use up some of my beauty products at the moment I realise I could have done better and not bought as much but I do think I've been fairly sensible for me... believe me, this haul could have been WAY worse!

Have you done a haul post recently?  If you have, link me below because I LOVE to read them :)

  19. Hello! I understand this is somewhat off-topic however I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established website like yours require a massive
amount work? I am completely new to blogging however
I do write in my journal everyday. I'd like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!
