Percy & Reed 5 Piece Style Collection - QVC TSV
On 6th August 2012, Percy and Reed will feature as QVC UK's TSV:
I HOPE this is the right info anyway! It'll be priced at £29.98 and includes shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, volumising mousse and a hair serum.
It will also be available on auto delivery.
I'm tempted to try this as I've used the hair mask from this range and have LOVED it so I may bite the bullet and try it when it's such a good price! :)

Doctor Renaud Peach Hydrating Body Milk
As regular readers of my blog know, as well as all things
nail and lip I am obsessed body moisteriser.
I have to be though because I have dry skin on my body. I pretty much have to moisterise after every
bath/shower.
So when I got the opportunity to try something new,
I jumped at the chance:

Artsy Wednesday - Mani Inspired by Music
I was at a loss thinking about this week's manicure. To be honest time is pretty limited for at mo and I was considering putting Artsy Wednesday on hold for a few weeks but I do enjoy it so I'm trying to make time for it.
It never really occurred to me to do something musical like musical notes; I immediately thought of music artists. I absolutely love the fact that a few artists out there at the moment are embracing nail art such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jessie J and Nicky Minaj; so that's where my inspiration has came from this week:

Batman Nail Art
My boyfriend was the geek who went to the early morning showing of Batman! If it was possible he would happily be impregnated by Batman I swear!
Anyway... in homage to his early morning start I painted a Batman accent nail:

Philip Kingsley Paddle Brush
For most of my life I've had long hair. Apart from when I had an early mid life crisis when I started Uni and dumped my then boyfriend and chopped off my locks! But since then I've always had hair past my shoulder and because it's fine and wavy it can tangle quite easy so hair brushes are my best friend!
Also, just another point to make... I always find the team at Philip Kingsley super helpful. If ever you have any doubts/questions about products their customer service is really good! This is something that as a beauty addict is important to me... I know I can cut my nose off to spite my face, but if a brand is all about the sale and no care or after care, it puts me off their products no matter how wonderful and fabulous they are! So big up to team PK!
I've used paddle brushes for as long as I can remember and this post is dedicated to my most favourite... my Philip Kingsley!
After a couple of years of use I had to bite the bullet and replace my trusted friend...
My old one looks vile compared to the new doesn't it? So much paler and it hasn't even got the PK logo on the handle anymore! I feel bad for being harsh about it because we've been through a lot together... it's been there for me every day... we've had fun times and some sad times... we've visited some lovely places together and all the while it's been as reliable as ever. Awww...
I do look after my hairbrushes and I do wash them regularly and treat them with care but general wear and tear is inevitable right?
I'm not sure what the lifespan of a hairbrush is supposed to be exactly but I think I've had my PK brush maybes 2 years ish? Before my PK hair brush I always bought Aveda paddle brushes which pretty much look identical but I went through a phase where I was getting through them quite quickly... The pad thing that has the bristles on it kept popping out and the wood chipped on the handle fairly easily etc so I decided to invest in a PK and I must admit I've never looked back.
I know it sounds a little silly waxing lyrical about 'just' a hair brush but it's an under estimated beauty tool in my eyes... I mean how many times each day do you reach for yours? So you see... a reliable piece of kit is needed surely?
The hard bit now is deciding when exactly my old brush goes to heaven! I don't think I'm ready to part with it just yet so I'll keep it at my boyfriend's as my back up hair brush! ;)
Also, just another point to make... I always find the team at Philip Kingsley super helpful. If ever you have any doubts/questions about products their customer service is really good! This is something that as a beauty addict is important to me... Girl Crush of The Week - Lucie Silvas
This week's girl crush is Lucie Silvas. I've recently started following her on Instagram and my love for her has been reignited. Her album 'Breathe In' is probably one of my most EVER listened to. (Along with Jagged Little Pill and Lungs).
Isn't she so very pretty? I'm crushin' on her! Like totes! If you've never checked out her music either...YouTube her. She's amaze!!

Artsy Wednesday: Dotting Tools
We all know by now that I love my dotting tools; maybes a little too much! Some weeks go by and I can't seem to do a mani without having a polka dot involved somewhere. So my immediate thought was to go dotting crazy but then I thought the whole point about me taking part in Artsy Wednesday is so I challenge myself and do different things nail art wise... so... I decided to use dotting tools to write out letters:

FOTD: Simple Face (cos I is simple! ;P)
When out shopping at the weekend my face looked like this:
I used M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC15, M.A.C Studio Fix Powder in NC20. I used M.A.C Mineralise Skin Finish in Light Year as a blush (I know it's not a blusher but as I'm so pale it works fine on me! ) For mascara I used New CID 's iFlutter and on lips I used M.A.C lip liner pencil in Boldly Bare with a lil bit of M.A.C Angel lipstick over the top of it.
Et voila. Face did! :)

Nails Inc QVC UK TSV - 19th July 2012
Another Nails Inc TSV this year! How many have we had? 2 or 3 already? Anyway... on 19th July this is what QVC UK will have as a TSV:
It's a 7 piece collection and will be priced at £24.96. The shades include the 'hero' shade, Porchester Square and the neon Portobello which both retail at Nails Inc for £11 each. Other shades include Princes Arcade, Warwick Street, Sloane Gardens, Pudding Lane (which is a 'sprinkles') and Cheyne Walk.
Are you sold on it? I'm not too sure as I have an auto delivery due in August from Nails Inc so I don't know if I could justify the purchase if I'm honest!! :/

Addicted to Vegas Volt
Another weekend evening and another FOTN done with M.A.C Vegas Volt. I seriously LOVE this shade at the mo!
What is your favourite lipstick of the moment? Or do you have a colour you home in on and therefore have loads of lipsticks in similar shades?
I wore this to a 60th Birthday do... kept eyes fairly light as in eye liner just on top lash line in Bobbi Brown's espresso ink gel eye liner and then VV on ma lips. Love this shade with brown on my eyes as opposed to black... it seems to warm up the lippy and bring out more of the coral tones :))

Handbag Love - My LV
You all know by now my addiction to all things beauty related and girl in general so you won't be surprised to learn that handbags are a BIG, HUGE, MASSIVE weakness of mine. I see one and I gush and melt and turn into a big handbag appreciating mess!
So I thought I'd share one of my favourites with you and that is my Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram Speedy. It's stamped with my initials and I totes heart it:
I am lucky to have a very nice handbag collection; my parents have indulged me in my love for them and they pick good handbags too (well Mam picks, Dad pays!) I may have to do some future posts show casing some of my favourite ones because to be honest they're too beautiful not to share :))
I'm sad and shallow and pathetic I know but seeing a nice handbag does make me smile from the inside!
Do you love handbags too? Are you a handbag or a shoe girl? I think if I'd have to pick, I'd pick handbags cos apart from 'goey out' heels I'm most happy in Toms or Uggs.

Galaxy Nail Art
I've been wanting to try this nail art trend for a little while now but never fully understood how to do it but a friend tweeted a picture of her galaxy nails and explained about the sponging so I thought I'd give it a try as intrigue took over. This is what I came up with:
Girl Crush of the Week - Funda Onal
How pretty is Funda Onal?
I first came across Funda as a model on QVC UK, often modelling on shows for the likes of Philosophy and Ojon. I then seen her pop up on my screen watching Made In Chelsea one day as Spencer's girlfriend and I think my crush has developed from there.
She's just uber fit in my opinion and I have no problem admitting I fancy her!

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Self Heating Face Mask
I bought this on impulse when shopping; it was on an end aisle thing and I seen the chocolate and the orange and was won over immediately!
Private Jet by Leighton Denny
As much as I like dark polish I'm not usually a black fan but this black shimmer from Leighton Denny is totes gorge!
Please excuse the tip wear as this was pictured after a couple of days of wear!
This shade, Private Jet is from a collection exclusive to QVC UK called 'The Jetsetters' and I have a feeling this shade may just make his core range as it is stunning on!

Nail Care
More than a few people compliment me on my nails and often ask how I get them to grow so long and keep them as healthy as I do so this post is going to cover some of the things I believe help me and my nails :)
(I could talk about nails all day long so I'll try and keep this post brief and to the point and in future I'll expand on each point in separate posts).
I was inspired to eventually write about my nail care by a post I seen on The Black Pearl Blog titled 'Give Your Nails a Break. They Deserve Some TLC'. Which I do agree with on one hand; it's good they get 'aired' but at the same time I never do that and my nails are pretty good *head expands* *blows trumpet*.
Nail Length
This is my preferred nail length for me:

July Beauty Ban
If you follow Sophia of Tattooed Tealady you will know that
she is partaking in a spending ban for 100 days! 100 whole days!!! The girl, in my opinion needs a medal!
I’ve been inspired by her and have made the decision NOT
to buy anything beauty related throughout the month of July.
My aim is to get some of my current products used up and
also save some money. I keep attempting
to put some money away for a holiday later in the year and it’s not going great
so I hereby vow not to buy anything beauty related unless absolutely essential
(deodorant, cotton pads, toothpaste etc) for one whole month!!
I will try and curb my spending of clothes too considering I
really don’t need any. My dressing room
is literally over flowing and I am running out of space at a silly rate... however it is my birthday at the end of the
month so I can’t ban clothes and shoes completely because I will probably want
some birthday outfits ;P
Do you think you could do it?
What’s your weak spending area? Mine is anything from Zara, Kurt Geiger or obviously anything makeup, nail and general beauty related items!

Blog Mentions
I don't have a blog roll or anything; not because of any other reason than the maintenance of them freaks me out. Adding someone to a blog roll and then forgetting about another person would just stress me and my Catholic guilt out if I'm honest!
So I've decided to mention some blogs in my posts instead... then you're not bombarded with LOADS of pages to flick through.
Today I'd like to recommend the following blogs to you:
