This week's theme is 'New Year' nails and at first I wasn't sure what to do but then I decided the following had to be included:
1)A nude manicure; a cool toned one so it's still winter-esque, like a grey.
3)A black chevron had to be involved somewhere
4)Glitter is necessary
So I sat on my dressing room floor and this happened:
I F-ING love it! The grey. The crystals. The harsh line of the black. The simplicity of it. The subtle blingness. Just everything. I think this manicure is just right up my street... those of you who know me, know I prefer having five nails which are different because I have OCD with uniformity, for example if I were to do a handful of chevrons and they were at slight different angles or a lil off centre I'd freak out!
The grey is probably my all time favourite; Zero Gravity by Leighton Denny (lost count how many times I've used it over this past year). The black, silver grey (which is on index finger) and glitter are all just cheapy nail art pens from eBay. I also decided to use more black nail crystals than the diamondy/crystaly ones just because it's more me.
I think new year is about clean, fresh things. It's a lil bit glitzy and glamorous but sophisticated. It's a time for cocktail parties where h'orderves are served and drinks you can't pronounce. It's about nice wine, good cheeses and posh crisps... I hope this mani helps reflect my 'New Year' thoughts hehe!
For those of you are interested the above pic was via instagram so below is the original pic; unedited:
