Artsy Wednesday: Christmas Manicure

Hey peoples!  Another week, another Wednesday and another Artsy Wednesday is upon us!  This week's theme is 'Christmas' and it was TOO easy for me to go with red.  In actual fact I had painted my nails red (Wocka Wocka from OPI for those interested) and was all set to do something Rudolph like but then I thought 'no'.  At Christmas, my personal preference is deep, luxurious, rich purples so I removed the red.  And this is what happened:

The purple is OPI, Plum and Get It and the champagne/glitter shade on my ring finger is OPI, Designer...De Better.  I freehanded a Christmas tree on my ring finger too with some nail art pens et voila, manicure complete!

I was all ready to do something extravagant and OTT (I mean it is Christmas!) but health wise I'm just not up to it at the minute and the truth is I'm quite happy because it's the simplicity of this mani which I've warmed to.  I think this mani is very me... simple! ;P

Have you been doing any 'Christmas' nails?  Are you all sorted for Christmas?  I have a couple of lil bits to get but I think I'm pretty much sorted... I'm going to have to get myself into gear though and arrange some stuff online because I'm not allowed to drive yet after my op and also I don't want to face crowds of mental shoppers!
