Nails Inc: Hampstead Gardens

I have literally deliberated over this shade for months.  I exaggerate not!  I have been in actual turmoil over whether to purchase it or not so I went for it.  Threw caution to the wind and bought it:

This is one of Nails Inc's 'trend' shades and the reason why I was in a dilemma with it was because I own nothing which is mustard.  I just couldn't imagine it looking good on me but it was a trend shade so it meant I was sucked into the hype and wanted it all the same!

Here it is with a flash (I don't think it cuts the mustard... pun TOTES intended):

I want to love it.  I want to be like 'that's so unusual, it works'... you know when something looks horrifically tacky but you can't help love it?  I wanted that feeling.  But it looks like the contents of an unwell baby's nappy.  I've therefore swatched this only.  I don't think I can wear it.

What do you guys think?  Shall I get off my high horse and embrace the mustard?  Have you got this colour?  Do you like it?

  9. I've got a similarish colour and I probably wouldn't wear it on its own but it is handy for nail art this time of year. I did an autumnal ruffle manicure the other day using mustard, burgandy, lime green, orange and plum. This could could work for some leopard print too. Maybe you could sponge with it using some orangey shades?

  10. So gorgeous, imo! I get sucked into the trends too. I could see wearing this with creams and browns or even rust-colored clothing for an "autumn" palette.

  13. It's probably not the colour I will go for but I can live with it especially to go with my brown and cream. Sometime I do buy some 'horrid' colours and think after
...yak!..why I bought it but it comes in handy sometime to go with other colours. You can do wonders to your nails so I think you can definitely pull it off. I think it looks good on you! xx

  14. I used to own a similar color by H&M but I dropped it on the floor and its content flew all over the floor.. I LOVED that polish so much and I was on a hunt for a similar color since I dropped that one :)
I do own this and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! :) I am a sucker for murky, strange and "ugly" colors so this is on among my top favorite polishes ever :)
I think it looks really good on you :) If you don´t want to wear it as it is Im sure you can do wonders with it in nail art or something :)
    hugs
