Artsy Wednesday - Mani Inspired by Music

I was at a loss thinking about this week's manicure.  To be honest time is pretty limited for at mo and I was considering putting Artsy Wednesday on hold for a few weeks but I do enjoy it so I'm trying to make time for it.

It never really occurred to me to do something musical like musical notes; I immediately thought of music artists.  I absolutely love the fact that a few artists out there at the moment are embracing nail art such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jessie J and Nicky Minaj; so that's where my inspiration has came from this week:

I chose OPI Pink Friday as this was part of the Nicky Minaj collection for OPI and I love it.  I had recently purchased the polish so it was any excuse to use it!  Hehe!  Plus I love her album Pink Friday.  I can't keep up with her rapping at all and probably sound like a chipmunk on speed but whatevs!

I then 'blinged' up my ring finger by using Nails Inc Electric Lane holographic top coat and I love the effect.

Because time is limited at the moment for me I wanted a mani that I could leave on a few days so I needed it to be simple and versatile which I think this is :)

P.S I am totes in an OPI phase at the moment... I can't get enough of their polishes!
