Polish Peeves

I bought a collection from Leighton Denny called Jet Setters last week and I was soooo excited about receiving it but then when I opened one of the bottles this is what faced me:


I was REALLY looking forward to wearing this too!  I bought the collection for this polish only!  Gutted.  Returns here I come...

Has this ever happened to you?  Which brand of nail polish haven't you got faith in?

  1. This happened to me the other day. Just put the cap back on and screw it tight then untwist it again. It worked for me and the plastic went back into the cap. It's fine now.

    1. i tried this... several times! i rang qvc tho and they've sent out a returns label covering the post for me and dispatched a new set so they were helpful but it's just annoying! xxx

    2. Oh that sucks! Maybe it has been overfilled and caused the brush to get stuck inside the bottle. This has happened to some indie lacquers I've got and I've had to run the bottle under warm water until it came loose. Doesn't matter though as you are getting a replacement. My set hasn't even turned up yet :(

  2. Try to put the cover back without pressing it hard, bend it to sides several times and then press it down and untwist ;)

  4. it happened to me too with Leighton nail polish!i prefer essie or nails inc when it comes to pricey nail polish..but i dont like Leighton Denny one :( x

  6. This has happened to me with both Leighton Denny and O.P.I.! The Nails Inc. bottle design is much better. x

  7. That sucks. This happened to my OPI Rapidry Topcoat. It was almost finished too, and it was all gloopy, so it made everything that much harder.

  8. This happens to my polishes all the time. The brush sticks to the polish on the edge of the bottle. I'm not sure how stuck yours is but I just push the plastic bit sideways so it un-sticks. Then screw the cap back on and then undo it and it's back in the cap.
