NOTD: Stripes ahoy!

Okay so the title is a tad misleading; this mani is far from the nautical stripes thang however I love the word ahoy so I went with...



OH. EM. GEE.  I am totes impressed with my steadiness of hand on my right!  YEARS of painting my nails is FINALLY paying off... I'll be ambidextrous soon ;P

So the 'how to' bit:  I painted a base of OPI Nail Envy.  Followed with two coats of Leighton Denny Hepburn.  Then using my nail art striping pens which I've just bought from eBay I randomly striped with the odd diagonal and chevron mixed in for good measure.  I used a silver, a gold which is actually quite brassy, a black, a white, a silver glitter and a gold glitter.  

What do you guys think?

I'm really quite pleased with how this has turned out and I can see LOADS of other similar manis because the colour combos are endless!!  

Have you got nail art pens?  Do you use the nail art brushes instead?  They take some practice don't they?!
