Ciate first Encounter

Ciate isn't a brand I've ever tried; yes I've looked at their range before and admired the uber cute bottles but because I've never heard much about them I've tended to stick to my tried and tested brands.

However, yesterday I picked up two copies of Marie Claire so I could get my hands on the freebie polishes 'Bon Bon' and 'Jelly Bean'.

I decided this was a pretty good excuse to try them and I am mighty impressed which is hard to do to me in the world of polish!

I painted my nails using Bon Bon; my regular readers know how much I like the beigey nudes (think Leighton Denny Supermodel, In the Buff, Honey Trap, Healthy Glow and OPI Barefoot in Barcelona and Nails Inc Kensington Gate and Jermyn St!)

First coat gave almost opaque coverage but needed second coat for depth of colour.  The shade is that beige nude kind of colour with a purple tone to it which really suits my skin tone!  The bottle was easy to hold and the brush allowed easy application; the handle is long so you have control and the brush itself is fairly flat but wide (think OPI pro-wide brush).

AND I'm loving it on!

(Note my stumpy nails; I had nail trauma which I'll explain in another post so had to chop them off :(  They feel really funny and I'm not a fan :( )

Getting back to Ciate though; I am very impressed with the results and fully intend on using the discount code which you get inside the magazine for a purchase of polish from their website; really like it lots.

Have you ever tried Ciate polish before?  What has your experience been if so?  Are you a nude shade fan?
