Artsy Wednesday - Nails Inspired by Nature

I was a bit stuck with this week's mani; I had too many ideas running around in my head.  Nature immediately jumps out as trees/flowers for me but then that leads me to think about Ladybugs and birds and then rainbows and clouds!

So I went with my initial thoughts of flowers and done a 'Dandelion Mani' (or 'clocks' as I know them as!)

I started off with two coats of colour; I used Nails Inc Bluebell which was a freebie with InStyle magazine a few weeks back:

I then painted two stalks using my Models Own black stiper nail art pen:

I then used the white Models Own pen to create the little 'petals'.  I used the very tip of the striper and used it so it created tiny lines if that makes sense?  The idea is that the petals are being blown from the stalks so on the nails next to the stalk you just paint petals:

Et voila!  Mani was complete!

I'm not sure if this depicts a manicure inspired by nature or not but I quite like it; it's fun and I love the cornflower blue shade :)
