I was so unsure what to do because I've only ever once done a 'flower mani' so my head wanted to try the vintage rose look again BUT my heart wanted daisies. Mainly in memory of a dear friend of mine, Lucy (@littlemunchkin).
I dedicate this mani to her and her loveliness!
I used Nails Inc Baker St as base colour, petals are Leighton Denny, Pure White and 'pollen' (what DO you call the middle bit of a flower?!) is Barry M's, Lemon Ice Cream:
At first I just went with one daisy but I felt it lacked something so added an extra smaller one at the base of my nail for added ooomph:
To create the 'daisy' I used a dotting tool. When the polish was almost dry I used the finest dotting tool and dragged from the centre of the petal to the centre of the flower. This doesn't work when the polish is still quite wet btw!
I'm not entirely happy with how this turned out and I would have started again however I'm recovering from a bit of a bug so didn't have the energy! I think I'm probably upset more than usual that it isn't 'perfect' because daisies remind me of Lucy and I wanted them to be right for her.
