Artsy Wednesday - Easter

It's Artsy Wednesday time again!  This week's theme was EASTER!

I decided on a pastel/bright water marble mani.  I was going to take inspiration from Sarah at Ohh So Glam and go for an Easter egg look with bunnies and the likes but to be honest I've been itching to try water marbling again so my inner urge won!

I used Barry M products to do this mani.  Usually with water marble you would paint your nails white first but in this instance I just used the paler shade:

Pinky: Lemon Ice Cream base then lemon ice cream and block orange water marble
Ring: Blue moon base then blue moon and blueberry ice cream water marble
Middle: Mint green base with mint green and spring green water marble
Index: Berry ice cream base with berry ice cream and BOOTS Limited Edition water marble
Thumb: Peach melba base with peach melba and block orange water marble

Here is my left hand:

I changed the colours around on the fingers on this one.  For some reason my pinky hasn't turned out brilliantly... I think I had some peach melba residue on the water :/ but to be honest for one nail's sake I wasn't gonna redo it because this took me a while.  I only usually take about 10-15 mins on my manicures...even 'fancy' ones but this took AGES!!

Now don't forget to check out the other girls' Easter manis!!  I'm sure they'll have some fab ones in comparison to mine :))

    1. it is tricky... i use slightly warm water because if it's too cold the polish doesn't spread over the top of the water properly x

  17. That looks sooo nice! I don't want to do water marbling for the same reason I hate sponging - too messy! Am almost tempted tho if they come out as pretty as that x x x
